Other Museums in Eastern Washington State
There are over a hundred museums, historical and other, scattered across eastern
Washington State. We have here tried to gather together links to those that have
web sites, or at least a full page of their own on a non-commercial site of some
sort. Even within that restriction, we have probably overlooked some; if you know
of such an overlooked museum page or site, please
let us know so we can add it
in. We would like this page to be a one-stop resource for museum-interested
visitors planning a trip to eastern Washington State.
For those who have the patience to sort through short "index-card" type listings, we
have, on a separate page, what we think is
a
complete list of eastern Washington State museums, with a link for each to its
data page on the Museums USA site.
The listings below are alphabetical by town or city. Be aware that some museums are
located in rural areas away from any town--in those instances, we list what appears
to be the closest town, simply so you can roughly place the museum on a map for your
planning.

Just before leaving on your visit--or during it if you carry a portable

symbols on the map are very approximate, but you can click in for more information
if you see one anywhere near where you're planning to drive.
Weather
We give you an eastern Washington State weather status and 5-day forecast on every
page of this site--look down below for the grey box between the waving flags--but we
have a
weather-information
page on which you can get the same data for other reporting stations. (The
station we use is the National Weather Service's station in Moses Lake, the closest
to us and the one that they identify as providing Ritzville information.)
There is an interesting web site,
DryDay.com®,
that claims to offer accurate (85% they say they average) long-term forecasts
for precipitation (rain or snow, as appropriate). You can look at their 30-day
prediction (running from today) for any Washington State town or city with the
